Coach Zell brings high level playing experience and proven coaching leadership to Next Level Prospects Basketball. A standout scorer at Shelby High School where he averaged 20 points per game, he went on to become a back to back National Military Champion at Fort Hood and earned All Army Basketball honors in 2015.
Coach Zell continued his career at the collegiate level, playing at the University of North Georgia before finishing at Fayetteville State University, where he became the program record holder for career three point field goals and most three pointers made in a single game while scoring over 1300 career points.
After his playing career, Coach Zell transitioned into coaching and player development. He served as an assistant coach at Shelby High School, helping lead the program to back to back conference championships, and now works as the Director of Player Development for the Cleveland Community College Women’s Basketball program.
Within NLPB, Coach Zell contributes across multiple age groups while serving as a head coach and mentor focused on skill development, confidence building, and preparing athletes to compete at the next level.
