Welcome to 5th grade NLPB Jr P32

Building a Complete Player

The NLPB Junior P32 fifth grade team is where players begin turning strong fundamentals into consistent game performance. At this level the focus is on developing the complete athlete by strengthening basketball IQ skill execution and competitive habits in a structured team environment. Players continue improving ball handling shooting defense and footwork while learning spacing timing decision making and how to impact the game without the ball. Practices emphasize effort coachability accountability and understanding how individual growth contributes to team success. Fifth grade is an important step in the NLPB pathway helping athletes build confidence compete with discipline and prepare for the higher speed and expectations of the levels ahead.

Player Pathway Through NLPB

The NLPB Junior P32 program is the starting point of a long term development pathway. Players begin by learning fundamentals, building confidence, and developing strong habits in a structured and competitive environment. This level introduces young athletes to high level coaching, organized competition, and the expectations of being part of a serious basketball program.

As players grow, they progress through NLPB teams and competitive levels, moving into older age groups and advanced circuits within the program. This pathway creates continuity, consistency, and long term development, allowing athletes to grow within one system as they move from youth basketball into elite competition over time.

New Balance Shoe Team

NLPB is proud to be the first and only shoe sponsored program in Western North Carolina partnered with New Balance. This partnership represents more than apparel and footwear. It reflects the growth, credibility, and vision of our program.

Being a New Balance program means our athletes are part of a nationally recognized brand that supports development, structure, and long term success. This partnership strengthens our program, provides valuable resources for our teams and families, and helps elevate the overall experience for every player in NLPB as they grow through the program.

Head Coach Robbie Robinson

Coach Robbie began his coaching career in 2001 as an assistant at Canton Middle School and has spent more than two decades developing young athletes across Western North Carolina. A former Pisgah High School player who participated in the Blue White game as a senior in 1997, he brings both playing experience and long term coaching knowledge to the court. He has coached youth and AAU travel teams throughout the region, including running his own travel program and coaching with BMAZE Elite in 2024, where his 9U team won eight championships, finished runner up twice, and reached a national ranking as high as 23rd. He currently serves as the 2025 to 2026 Pisgah High School JV boys basketball coach while continuing his work in travel basketball.

Within Next Level Prospects Basketball, Coach Robbie has served as both a head coach and trainer while helping recruit and develop players across WNC. His teams have competed successfully at the state level, including a recent season finishing ranked second in North Carolina AAU standings despite being undersized. Coach Robbie is passionate about preparing players for middle school and high school success by emphasizing fundamentals, discipline, teamwork, and competitive effort. He is committed to helping every athlete grow with confidence on the court and character off it.
