Welcome to 7th grade NLPB Jr P32

Competing With Purpose and Accountability

The NLPB Junior P32 seventh grade team is built around competing at the elite level and challenging players to consistently perform against strong competition. At this stage athletes are expected to apply their skills with confidence, play with a high basketball IQ, and execute within team systems on both ends of the floor. Emphasis is placed on consistency, defensive intensity, communication, and making smart decisions under pressure while maintaining strong fundamentals at game speed.

Seventh grade is a critical year where players begin taking ownership of their development and impact on team success. Athletes are pushed to demonstrate leadership, toughness, and accountability while continuing to refine their individual skills and understanding of the game. This level of the NLPB pathway is designed to help players separate themselves through effort, preparation, and performance as they move closer to high level exposure and future high school competition.

Player Pathway Through NLPB

The NLPB Junior P32 program is the starting point of a long term development pathway. Players begin by learning fundamentals, building confidence, and developing strong habits in a structured and competitive environment. This level introduces young athletes to high level coaching, organized competition, and the expectations of being part of a serious basketball program.

As players grow, they progress through NLPB teams and competitive levels, moving into older age groups and advanced circuits within the program. This pathway creates continuity, consistency, and long term development, allowing athletes to grow within one system as they move from youth basketball into elite competition over time.

New Balance Shoe Team

NLPB is proud to be the first and only shoe sponsored program in Western North Carolina partnered with New Balance. This partnership represents more than apparel and footwear. It reflects the growth, credibility, and vision of our program.

Being a New Balance program means our athletes are part of a nationally recognized brand that supports development, structure, and long term success. This partnership strengthens our program, provides valuable resources for our teams and families, and helps elevate the overall experience for every player in NLPB as they grow through the program.

Head Coach Hector Rodriguez

Hector Rodriguez has been a foundational part of Next Level Prospects Basketball since the early years of the program and continues to play a major leadership role in its growth and success. As Youth Development Director, Coach Rodriguez helps shape the vision for player progression while also serving as a team coach, North Carolina coach, and recruiter for the organization. He has coached high level teams across multiple age groups, bringing consistency, structure, and a strong development mindset to every roster he leads.

Beyond team coaching, Coach Rodriguez is deeply involved in player development and training. He serves as cofounder of the Prospect Factory, the training division of NLPB, where he provides high level skill training and mentorship to athletes throughout the region. As a parent whose own child has grown through the NLPB system, he brings a personal understanding of the program’s mission and impact. Coach Rodriguez remains committed to serving his community and helping young athletes grow both on the court and in life through leadership, discipline, and opportunity.
